PARTNERS

Gordon M. Glasgow
C.P.A.
Certified Educational Achievement-Governmental/Nonprofit Accounting and Auditing, PLM’s audit partner, graduated from Montana State University in 1991 with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. He entered public accounting when he joined PLM that same year. Gordon specializes in auditing and other financial statement services, internal control review and consulting. He has experience with a variety of industries, including nonprofit organizations, housing authorities, public utility districts, group homes, manufacturing businesses, motels and condominium associations, food processing plants and wood products.
Gordon is the Treasurer of both Grays Harbor Community Hospital Foundation and Harbor After School. He is also a member of the Washington Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Daniel J. Schroeder
C.P.A.
Certified Educational Achievement-Tax Planning and Advising for Closely Held Businesses, Tax Department Manager and Firm Partner is a 1978 graduate of the University of Washington and has practiced with PLM since then. Dan’s current emphasis is in tax and business consulting for logging, construction, retail, recreational and other small businesses with a growing emphasis in estate tax planning.
He serves as treasurer and is on the Church Council at Calvary Lutheran Church. He is a member of the American Institute of CPA’s and the Washington Society of Certified Public Accountants, and currently lives in Aberdeen with his wife Anne and daughter Kim.

Ruth J. Robertson
C.P.A.
After leaving a 15-year career in emergency services and 9-1-1 in Idaho, Ruth joined other returning students to graduate in 2003 from Boise State University, with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. She has spent most of her professional accounting years in business and corporate accounting at the entity level, with intermittent work preparing tax returns.
She moved to Grays Harbor in 2022, joining PLM in 2023 to embrace specializing in tax preparation and planning. Ruth’s current focus is tax preparation for small business, non-profit, and individuals, with some general business consulting.
Now licensed in Washington with 21 years being licensed in Idaho, she is also a member of the Washington Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. While not working, she is learning how to transfer her organic gardening skills to the coastal environment while preserving habitat for local wildlife. Her favorite thing about working at PLM is the kindness and support of the clients, partners and staff.

Joyce Christensen
Professional
Graduated from Ocosta High School in Westport, WA. She attended South Puget Sound Community College and graduated from Grays Harbor Community College with an Associate of Arts in General Studies and a Certificate in Data Processing. Joyce has been an employee of Preszler, Larner, Mertz & Co., LLP since February 1983. Her primary focus is in performing accounting services for small business clients.

Jamie Ellis
Tax Preparer
Jamie joined PLM in 2025 as a tax preparer, and has been preparing tax returns since 2008. Now that she is with PLM, she has a special interest in helping small businesses.

Jonathan Lang
Tax Accountant
With a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Accounting from Western Governors University, and nearing the end of his studies for a Masters degree, Jonathan looks forward to his career as a tax accountant with PLM. When not working on returns and studying for his degree and the CPA exam, Jonathan enjoys surfing, disc golf, e-sports and taking care of LOTS of pets.

Julie Olson
Bookkeeper
Coming to PLM in 2011 Julie primarily performs accounting services for small business clients. A native of Grays Harbor, she graduated from Hoquiam High School and attended Western Washington University studying Psychology. She especially likes the clients and staff with which she works. When home, Julie likes to watch birds, read and create crafts.
Administrative

Laura Guilford
Administrator
Laura joined PLM in 2023 where she greets clients at reception, manages most administrative activities and assists staff in any way she can, while keeping everyone laughing.
After attending Pima Medical Institute in Veterinary Medicine, she found that she excelled at administrative and front desk duties, providing excellent customer service to humans and pets.
A Washington native, Laura lives in Montesano with her family, a couple dogs, just a few cats and chickens to keep her vet assistant skills sharp. Living in a house that roots for Pittsburgh Sports teams she still enjoys the beauty and diverse nature of Washington.
